Cliff Fletcher just announced on AM 640, Nazem Kadri has been called up from London on emergency recall for tonight.

I'm assuming he doesn't get called up just to be a scratch, so...

Actually, we're not even sure why he got called up. Anyone in Leafs Nation know if there's been an injury or something?

This worries me a bit. Toronto has a history of calling players up too early and throwing them under a bus. I really think Toronto should get some veterans and chemestry going to insert these guys into or it could impact their development. However Burke has one more cup than I do so I'll defer to him.

I heard Burke's son died in a car accident yesterday. That is absolutelly horrible. Wish the team well.

A couple of guys had the flu, so it was the perfect scenerio for the 'emergency callup.' I don't remember who exactly had the flu, Hansen was one of them, there were one or two more though.

Sjostrom (or however you spell it) was sick as well. I heard they had some bad shrimp. Ron Wilson was quoted as saying "Never eat shrimp that flew farther to get here than you did."

Yeah Sjostrom and Hanson are listed as DTD with the flu. Plus Komisarek, Grabovski, Van Ryn, and Brent are all still on IR.

It's kind of late to be asking this, but did anyone actually see him play?

I saw him play in preseason and in Juniors. Its very obvious to me he has above average talent but he needs to learn to use his team mates better. He trys to go through too much defense on his own and causes a lot of unnecessary turnovers. He is also a complete hot head like a matt barnaby jr. He has some growing up to do but he could be a nice combination of points and pim.
