Cookes job will and always will be to harass and stop the scorers on the other teams. There is nothing wrong with playing physical and yes, using your elbows (in my opinion) Heck Gordie Howe made a living at it. But, hunting for the hit is questionable. The Bruins will take care of the lack of suspension issue on their own. If they don't they should switch to soccer.

Looks like Eric Godard will be out of the lineup for the upcoming Pens/Bruins game. That leaves Cooke to pretty much fight his own battles... Rupp, Adams and Talbot have all been known to drop the gloves, when needed, but probably not to protect Cooke. If he's smart, he'll just show up without a visor, and take it like a man.

When cooke was in the minors he would fight the middle weights. He will probably defend himself and not look to others. It will be interesting...

For Sid's sake I hope he fights. Cooke is known to turn down fights in order to coax the opposition into roughing minors. If he doesn't the Bruins might take their frustrations out on anyone they see.

I'm so disgusted with Cooke, and Colin Campbel and that joke of all jokes, Gary Betman. Cooke should have been suspended. Campbel and Betman are gutless. Hey Idiots, Cooke is a repeat offending CHEAP shot artist--DO something about it you spinless worms.
They could have pulled an attempt to injure out of their ass (anything!) and got that punk, piece of ****, Cooke off the ice.
Cooke, Colin Campbel and Betman: ALL THREE NEED TO GO! The NHL is a joke! Look what they did to Avery for saying "sloppy seconds" and yet they allow Cooke to concuss player, after player, after player with cheap shots to the head. Betman has made a mess of the NHL.
I hope someone takes out Cooke--Bertuzzi style...But this time INTEND to injure severely (which Bert didn't mean to do)! I loath Cooke--I hope he gets concussed-AND crippled--Cooke is pure garbage.
Maybe someone should CONCUSS SIDNEY!! Lay his ass out, in a quivering mass of cerebral gue! What would happen then? Betman would do backflips across the ice to eliminate the player who took out the golden boy, and head shots would likely be banned ON THE SPOT! But Mark Savard isn't the object of Betman's wet dreams is he (we all know who is though)? The Savards and Booths of the NHL doen't count. F U Betman. Triple F U Colin Campbel! And F U straight to hell, you useless bastard Cooke. Like I said, I hope someone cripples Cooke.
