For some odd reason a manager dropped Markov for McCabe. Do you see Markov as a significant upgrade over anyone? Ironically I am the one that dropped McCabe when I traded for Lidstrom.

markov's playing like crap. I'd stick with the three you've got.

Agreed, Boyle, Gonchar and Lidstrom should all produce at a higher level than markov for the next while.

Do you guys take Markov's stock down next season, he has been a real headache for longer then I can remember. Such a prolific scorer though. His performance next season is hard to guage.

It's a tough call... could've just been an off year, or maybe his age is catching up to him. Lots of young guys ready to take his playing time, too... I think he's definitely fallen out of that top group of defensemen.

I think he'll play better next year, probably not at the elite level he was at before though. It's also difficult because there could be a major shake-up in Montreal with Gainey out. So who knows what the Habs will look like.
